yummy chocolate chip-less cookies!

yesterday i was at first gonna make chocolate chip cookies but, we were out of choco chips! so i made the recipe with very few choco chips and it turned out pretty great:) and i had leftover frosting, so i altered it a little and made cookie sandwiches with frosting in the middle!
unfortunately the recipe i used is a secret family recipe, sorry. but i can give you another recipe for choco chip cookies from cok.net!

wow. what. a. long. weekend!
first i made snickerdoodles, then i made about 36 cupcakes and then i went out and ate lava cake! and it was also my my birthday! yay!

and here's a picture of me and the lava cake! the lava cake was made up of a delish brownie cake with vegan coconut ice cream and topped off with some hot fudge. you can't really see the lava cake because i ate it up so quickly but if you look really closely you can kind of see it.  oh,  and here's Great Sage's website, greatsage.com/desserts_page

oh my goodness, i can't believe that i have been blogging for a year and never told my viewers( wink,wink) about poplar spring animal sanctuary!

well, Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary is a 400 acre non-profit refuge for farm animals and wildlife located in Poolesville, Maryland. they offer care, rehabilitation and permanent sanctuary for neglected, abandoned, abused or unwanted animals. they have a wonderful organization there. if you are ever in Poolsville Maryland, i suggest you drop by and meet their sweet animals.

Vegan MoFo, day 6 horray!

day 6, of Vegan MoFo. i didn't do any baking, buuuuuut i did eat all vegan! (surprise, surprise) :D

Veg MoFo Day 4!

Yay! yesterday i made brownies!:D
the recipe is in the recipe section, BUT the recipe calls for 2 cups of sugar. i would use 1 1/2 cup, maybe even 1 1/4 cup. but they are still VERRRY yummy! be sure not to stir to much, or you won't get to taste the yummy moistness and fudgyness:)

Vegan Mofo- day 2!

yay! i made it, now only 28 more days to go!;)
here's something shocking, Trader Joe's Joe's O's, aren't vegetarian! they have a vitamin D that is derived from sheep wool. and Silk soymilk is made by one of the biggest dairy industries, Dean Foods.
